Explore Wamberal

Wamberal, located just north of Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast, offers a peaceful coastal escape for those seeking sun, surf, and serenity, with its long stretch of unspoiled beach, laid-back atmosphere, and close proximity to lively Terrigal.

At the heart of the suburb is Wamberal Beach, a wide open shoreline popular for surfing and fishing, especially in the early mornings when the sunrise casts colourful skies over the Pacific. If you’re new to surfing, Central Coast Surf Academy runs lessons right on the beach.

The Wamberal Surf Life Saving Club patrols the southern end in summer, while off-leash dog areas nearby make it great for pet lovers. Behind the dunes, Wamberal Lagoon offers calm waters for young children, kayaking, and paddle boarding.

On the northern end of the beach, you can follow the coast around to Spoon Bay, a hidden gem with a secluded beach and stunning rock formations.

Despite its tranquil vibe, Wamberal has a small but quality selection of local shops and eateries. Just off the beach, there are also convenience stores, bottle shops, and takeaway options, so you’re never far from the essentials.
